The new year is off to a great start with the completion of B. Chaney’s newest custom home project.
January 2025 is off to a snowy AND great start for the family that trusted the B. Chaney Improvements to build their Lowcountry dream house over the past year. The team is proud of the raised dwelling in Awendaw that has all the great features expected in a luxury home in coastal South Carolina. Keep reading to learn more about this project and about taking up a new hobby. Why a hobby? Well, it’s still winter here in the Palmetto State and January is National Hobby Month.
As for the three-story dream house, it features clean lines and a beautiful white palate perfectly accented with natural wood beams, floors and cabinets. The best room in the house to appreciate this is the spacious kitchen that opens to the dining area, surrounded by many windows filled with natural light. The kitchen also features a herringbone backsplash and a scullery – small room off the kitchen for food prep.
“It was a seamless build because the homeowners were a pleasure to work with,” said Brad Chaney, company president. “They were on the job site every day and were able to make decisions quickly.”
In similar fashion, the homeowners were complimentary of Brad and his building team calling the work, “exceptional.” They added that his knowledge, attention to detail, excellent communication, and ability to stay on budget AND schedule were what made the building experience flawless.
“We also appreciated how attentive he was to any concerns we had,” they added. “The first load of dirt for the 
foundation arrived in April (2024) and the project was finished by Christmas. Everyone told us that builders are never finished by their projected date, but Brad did it!”
Other elements of the property are a back porch with stainless steel cable rails, a pool and an elevator.
